New single from Lay Low

Artist: Lay Low | Single: Our Conversations

Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir a.k.a. Lay Low moved from Reykjavík to the countryside and got inspired. As a result she wrote her latest album Talking About the Weather, which she also produced herself. A beautiful and mellow collection of songs.

Lay Low has a rare ability to write songs that seem obvious when you hear them. Timeless melodies that are original without being overcomplicated. Performed soft and gently, with great warmth and conviction. The latest single from the album, Our Conversations, is no exception. A quiet drama that anyone can recognize. About the silence and the uncertainty in a relationship that maybe is about to end. Like in the new video by Rut Sigurdardottir Photography and Dalia Caste: A boxing match where both sides take a beating, get knocked down, but in the end…well, who knows?

KÍTÓN is short for “Women in Music” in Icelandic, is a recently founded organization in Iceland pushing on equality in the music business, visibility and nurturing the up and coming young female musicians, composers and performers.

KÍTÓN is a diverse pool of fantastic female artists who all have the same agenda: creating a positive dialogue, awareness, equality and a working platform between female musicians in Iceland.
